A little help deciding

What matters most to you?

This is a preference guide based on revealed designs and descriptions. It does not predict battle performance.

Grass

Choose Browt if…

Browt is a natural shortlist choice if you like small bird Pokémon, plant-inspired designs, or a lively partner with an imperfect little personality. Treat that as a preference for its revealed design. There is not enough published battle information to recommend it as the easiest or strongest starter.

Fire

Choose Pombon if…

Consider Pombon if puppy-like Pokémon or a visibly warm, friendly design are what you want in a first partner. It is a design-based choice you can make now. A story-playthrough recommendation needs more evidence about the encounters, moves and systems in the finished games.

Water

Choose Gecqua if…

Put Gecqua on your shortlist if you enjoy reptile-like Pokémon, an expressive tail, or a clever, confident character. Those are visible reasons to favor it now. Its eventual battle strengths need official stats, moves, and game context before they can be assessed.

How to read the comparison

What these facts can tell you.

Type is confirmed; a final build is not

The revealed first forms are Grass, Fire and Water. Do not treat those entries as confirmed final-evolution typings. Until evolved forms and their typings are announced, a future team plan can only be provisional.

Ability names are a starting point

Overgrow, Blaze and Torrent are the published Ability names. This guide does not fill in game-specific descriptions or activation thresholds that are absent from the reviewed announcement. Read the eventual in-game text before relying on an effect.

Measurements are not a power ranking

Pombon has the largest listed height and weight. Browt is the lightest, while Browt and Gecqua share a height. None of those observations establishes HP, Speed, defensive strength, or how easy the opening hours will be.
